Arlene Jimenez, DVM
Dr. Jimenez was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and is fluent in both Spanish and English. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Iowa State University in 2004, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University in 2009.
In July 2010, Dr. Jimenez completed a 13-month Rotating Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at Coral Springs Animal Hospital, where she worked closely with multiple specialists. It was during this time—particularly while working side-by-side with a board-certified dermatologist—that her passion for veterinary dermatology truly flourished.
With over 16 years of experience as a veterinarian, Dr. Jimenez has developed a strong focus on dermatology while continuing to provide comprehensive care, including wellness visits, sick pet evaluations, and quality-of-life consultations. She strongly believes in treating every patient as if they were a member of her own family, ensuring each pet receives compassionate, individualized care.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Jimenez enjoys traveling with her husband and children, spending time outdoors, and caring for her two beloved rescue dogs.
